Weave Plaid Knitting Techniques.
Weaving garter stitch:
- Thread a tapestry needle with a length of yarn a bit longer than the piece. From right side, insert needle under one bump and pull through.
- Along the same row, skip next bump and insert needle under the following bump. Pull yarn through. Weave through every other bump.
- After one vertical line is complete, start again at the lower edge for a 2nd stripe. This time, alternate the stitches, beginning one row above.
- To make the weaving quicker, insert the needle through several stitches at a time, as shown in photos 3 and 4.
