I’ve been looking high and low for a slanted 2×2 rib and finally found this! I assumed that it would involve a lot of cable knitting but this seems to work! I was just wondering on a larger scale, such as for a sweater, would the piece be straight?
Smocking Knitting Stitch. An effect like smocked fabric is created by making knot stitches in alternating positions. Working the ribbing with twisted stitches emphasizes the texture of the knitted fabric.
“No stitch”? What do you do? Just leave the yarn hanging?
Hey there,
I’ve been looking high and low for a slanted 2×2 rib and finally found this! I assumed that it would involve a lot of cable knitting but this seems to work! I was just wondering on a larger scale, such as for a sweater, would the piece be straight?
