Free Knitting Stitch Pattern Horseshoe Lace.
(Begins with multiple of 15 sts + 3)
Row 1 (RS): P3, * k4, k2tog, ssk, k4, p3; rep from * to end – 2 sts dec’d per rep.
Row 2 (WS): * K3, p3, p2tog tbl, p2tog, p3; rep from * to last 3 sts, k3 – 2 sts dec’d per rep.
Row 3: P3, * k2, k2tog, ssk, k2, p3; rep from * to end – 2 sts dec’d per rep.
Row 4: * K3, p1, p2tog tbl, p2tog, p1; rep from * to last 3 sts, k3 – 2 sts dec’d per rep.
Row 5: P3, * k2tog, cast on 4 sts, [insert ndl into space bet k2tog and ssk 4 rows below, k1 drawing up long st and yo after each long st] 3 times, cast on 3 sts, ssk, p3; rep from * to end – original st count restored.
Row 6: * K3, p4, [purl into yo and long st] 3 times, p5; rep from * to last 3 sts, k3.
Rep Rows 1-6 for patt.
The Horseshoe Lace pattern decreases 2 stitches per repeat on the first 4 rows. The original stitch count is restored on row 5.
I’m wanting to do a sweater called Just Breathe by universal yarns its baised on your horseshoe lace. Other horseshoe lace patterns are different than this pattern. My question is why is there no other samples of horseshoe lace done this way I’d love to see a demo of this lace pattern as i cant seem to get the hang of it. Joanna
