So lovely. I like it.
I have a question. I want to make a scarf. Please explain what this patter “is a multiple of ? stitches (plus ?)
It says multiples of 4.
The instructions state multiples of 4 plus one.
You need three stitches to make 1 star and then 1 stitch to purl between each star. 3 +1 makes one pattern repeat. Then you need one extra stitch at the very end of the row to keep the edge neat.
So, your scarf needs to be made with a number of stitches that can be divided by 4 and 1 remaining. It could be 25 stitches (that’s 6 x 4 +1), 29 (7 x 4 + 1),
33 (8 x 4 + 1), 37, 41, 45, 49, 53, 57, 61 or 65 stitches wide or any other number that is a multiple of 4 plus 1 extra at the end.
multiple of 4, and on final, add +1 st.
It is so pretty. Is it possible to use for socks knitted in the round?
